SERVICES

Consultations for skin conditions

We treat non-cancer conditions, including rosacea, melasma, acne, keratosis pilaris and fungal nail infections.

  • GPs with training in dermatology
  • Combined treatment modalities include skincare, medications, laser and IPL
Book a consultation

Our doctors and nurses have qualifications, training and a broad range of experience managing many dermatological conditions.

Your 15-minute skin consultation includes taking a medical and skin history, examining your skin condition and discussing a management plan. Your consultation may include clinical photography and investigations such as biopsy, nail or skin scraping.

By the end of your consultation, you should understand:

  • The most likely or possible diagnoses of your skin concern.
  • A recommended skin care routine.
  • Possible ways of investigating and/or treating your skin condition.

How to prepare

Booked a skin check consult? Here’s what to do next.

Remove make-up before your appointment
Complete our medical history form

If you haven’t visited us before, complete the medical history form at least 24 hours before your appointment to give us adequate time to create your records and consider safe and appropriate management options.

Prepare your skin

We need to have the best possible visibility for examining and photographing your skin.

  • Please don’t wear make-up or fake tan.
  • Make sure your skin is clean.

If you are consulting us about a nail fungal infection, it’s best if you haven’t cut your nails for a few weeks, as we may need to clip 1-2mm of your nail.

Information to bring

If you’ve had your skin condition assessed previously, bring a copy of any biopsy or swab results, plus a list of any medications (topical or oral) and skin care products you’ve tried.
