Access your skin photos & pathology results

Access your skin lesion and mole mapping photos, pathology results and diagnoses online

We use the MoleScope system, a shared medical record system that stores information about your skin, accessible via a website or mobile app.

After your skin check, you’ll receive an email from MoleScope inviting you to download the MoleScope app and access your photos.

Photograph your own spots and upload them to the shared record

If you wish, you can use the MoleScope app to take your own photos and monitor them in future at no further cost to you. MoleScope uploads them into the record you share with Spot Check Clinic, filing them by body location and date, so you have an ongoing record of your skin and any spots of interest.

  • You can add new photos to an existing lesion previously photographed at the clinic.
  • You can add new lesions.
  • You can use the total body photography mode that shows you how to pose and what areas to photograph to replicate the photos we’ve taken at the clinic. You can then compare older and newer mole mapping photos side by side to see if there are any changes.

Compare images of your spots

With MoleScope, you can upload photos taken previously, allowing you to compare images of your spots taken during skin checks you’ve had in earlier years and at other clinics. Plus, you also have access to pathology results and personalised information about your spots, cancers and treatments.

If you have a spot of concern and it’s inconvenient to visit Spot Check Clinic, you can use the MoleScope app to photograph it and send it directly to our doctor for an opinion. In most cases, we provide an opinion within two working days at a fee significantly less than if you’d visited in person. If we’ve performed a biopsy, your results will be available in MoleScope in writing, together with a written explanation from our doctor. All results are stored in a secure encrypted environment on the server. When a new result is ready, we’ll send you a text message and a link to your result.
