How fees and rebates work
Spot Check Clinic is a private clinic. Fees are paid at the time of your appointment and are determined by the treating doctor based on the service provided and clinical complexity.
Medicare rebates
Most medical consultations and doctor-performed procedures are eligible for a Medicare rebate. We process Medicare rebates electronically at the time of payment where possible.
Rebate amounts are determined by the federal government and vary depending on the consultation and procedure performed.
Private health insurance
Some private health insurance extras policies offer rebates for skin checks and mole mapping photography. Coverage varies by fund and policy — we recommend confirming with your insurer before your appointment.
If you intend to claim through private health insurance, please let reception know before payment so your invoice can be itemised appropriately. Billing arrangements cannot be changed after payment has been processed.

- Pensioner Concession Card holders
- Patients under 18
Please present your concession card at check-in. Discounts cannot be applied retrospectively.
Standard consultation fees
Most patients attend for skin cancer checks.
