What Spot Check Clinic can provide

Spot Check Clinic can provide accurate, ready-to-share information for your staff about our clinic and what a doctor-led skin consultation involves.

We can also discuss booking options and other organisation-specific requirements, where appropriate.

How your workplace can help

As part of an employee health or wellbeing program, some workplaces choose to provide financial support to employees who decide to have a skin consultation.

This can be arranged in two ways: the workplace can reimburse employees independently or fund consultations directly.

Reimburse employees

Employees book, attend and pay Spot Check Clinic directly. We provide the employee with a receipt, which they may choose to submit to their workplace.

The workplace independently determines who is eligible, how much it reimburses and what evidence employees need to provide.

Spot Check Clinic does not administer reimbursement claims or tell the workplace who has booked or attended.

Fund consultations directly

A workplace may arrange to pay the full private consultation fee for employees who choose to participate.

Spot Check Clinic invoices the workplace under an agreed billing arrangement. These consultations are provided as private, non-Medicare services, and no Medicare benefit is claimed.

Contact us to discuss current fees and whether this arrangement would suit your workplace.

What employees receive

Each employee attends Spot Check Clinic as an individual patient and sees one of our doctors.

The doctor considers the employee’s history and individual risk factors, performs the appropriate examination, discusses any findings and recommends further investigation or treatment where required.

Clinical decisions are made solely between the patient and their doctor.

Privacy and confidentiality

Spot Check Clinic does not share clinical findings, images, diagnoses, treatment recommendations or other clinical information with an employer.

Where employees book and pay independently, Spot Check Clinic does not tell the workplace who booked or attended.

Where a workplace funds consultations directly, we agree in advance what limited booking or billing information is required to administer payment. Employees are told what information will be provided and asked to consent before participating.

Clinical information always remains confidential.
