Missed appointments

If you book an appointment and do not attend, or if you cancel an appointment giving less than 24 hours' notice, you may be charged a non-attendance fee of up to half the fee of the appointment you failed to attend.

Remote mole and spot checks

If you have a spot of concern and are isolated in compliance with Covid-19 requirements, you can have it checked remotely by a skin cancer doctor.

Video consulting

$40 for up to 10 minutes
$80 for 10-20 minutes

Bulk billed for pensioners, health care card holders, children under 16 and people who are more vulnerable to Covid-19

Skin and mole checks

Full body skin check with total body mole mapping

Head to toe examination by an accredited skin cancer doctor with dermoscopic (high magnification) photography and digital analysis of any spots of concern.

An additional series of 28 region photographs of the entire body are taken to create a record of your skin surface.

Recommended for high risk patients. The best method for detecting current skin cancers and identifying potential skin cancers by monitoring changes over time.

Full body skin check

Head to toe examination by an accredited skin cancer doctor with dermoscopic photography and digital analysis of any spots of concern, with limited body mapping photography (1 or 2 regions).

Recommended for many patients as it includes examination of hard to check areas like scalp, toe nails and back. Your doctor will recommend a repeat frequency depending on your risk factors.

An accredited skin cancer doctor examines up to three spots of concern. This service includes dermoscopic photography and digital analysis of the spots of concern if clinically appropriate. After your consultation you will have online access to any photographs taken during your consultation.

Recommended if you regularly have full body checks and have identified new, changing or unusual spots.

Total body mole mapping

A series of 28-30 region photos of the entire body, without medical consultation or assessment. The doctor or nurse will not examine your moles/spots.

Recommended for people who have already had their skin checked by trusted skin cancer doctor/nurse or dermatologist who has recommended total body mapping.

Cosmetic removal of raised moles, skin tags, fibrous papules and other skin lumps.

Removal by radiofrequency electromagnetic waves results in minimal damage to surrounding skin and improved cosmetic results.

This service will be introduced to Spot Check Clinic in Winter 2020.

Pricing is for the first lesion removed; the fee decreases for subsequent procedures performed on the same day.

No Medicare rebate.


Discounts

Discount pricing is available for:

  • Pensioners and health care card holders. Must present a current valid Australian Health Care or Pensioner card.
  • Children under 18.

Discounts are offered at the discretion of the treating doctor and may not apply under certain circumstances. If you book an appointment and fail to attend, or if you cancel with less than 24 hours' notice, you will not qualify for any further discounts from Spot Check Clinic.

DVA card holders are bulk billed for all services covered by Medicare.

Exclusions

Patients not covered by Medicare are charged the standard fee for all services.

A higher fee may be payable for longer or complex cases where the medical consultation takes longer than 45 minutes.

Where treatments and services are not covered by Medicare (e.g. online consultations and treatments not covered by Medicare), a fee will be charged.
