The cost of laser treatment for broken capillaries can range from around $120 to $500 per session, depending on the size of the area being treated and the number of treatments required. For example, a single small spot of broken capillaries may require only one treatment, while larger areas may require 5 or 6 treatments. Treatments for rosacea may require multiple passes of laser treatment targeting different skin structures and levels. This can take longer and might be more expensive.
If the treatment is for a medical condition such as rosacea and provided by a doctor, part of the treatment cost may be covered by Medicare. It’s always best to consult with a healthcare provider to determine the best course of treatment for your specific needs and budget. Some rosacea treatments may be much less expensive than laser therapy.
Broken capillaries and spider veins usually don’t go away by themselves and may worsen over time if left untreated. It’s best to treat them before they become too large. After laser treatment for broken capillaries, you may experience some redness, swelling, and bruising. However, these side effects are generally mild and temporary, and most people can resume their normal activities immediately after treatment. It’s important to avoid sun exposure and use sunscreen to protect the treated area. Very small capillaries may become invisible a few weeks after a single laser or IPL treatment, but more extensive capillaries usually require a course of several treatments.
Most people find that spider veins and facial capillaries return over time since they are usually due to circumstances that can’t be altered such as rosacea or increasing age. Returning capillaries and veins can usually be treated successfully with one or two top-up treatments, repeated 1-2 yearly.
